Meet the first man to ever swim across the Pacific Ocean
An incredible evening with a real adventurer
Join us on Thursday April the 13th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM to meet the french swimmer Benoit Lecomte, the first man who will swim from Tokyo to San Francisco.
After swimming across the Atlantic Ocean in 1998, Benoit Lecomte will now cross the Pacific Ocean. Ben will swim 8 hours a day for 6 months, a total of 5500 miles from Tokyo to San Francisco. He will be accompanied by his support boat Discoverer and her 9 crew members.
Beyond this world-record attempt, The Longest Swim will also be the first citizen science and environmental expedition of its kind, as Ben and his crew will collect valuable data on the ocean and human body for 8 research projects directed by 13 scientific institutions, including NASA and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
An exclusive event organized by the San Diego French American Chamber of Commerce
