Life Science Business Tour Is Happening Next Week

Life Science Business Tour

After many months of preparation we are finally down to the final weeks before Biocom and a group of Californian life science companies, as well as Link-J and a group of Japanese life biotech companies will land in Nice to take part in Life Science Business Tour. The two day delegation will be held on March 15-16th and attended by more than 50 international and local French companies in the life science sector, seeking to build partnerships, R&D and commercial opportunities. The South of France is one of the most innovative biotech hubs across Europe and houses Eurobiomed, an important cluster with more than 260 members.

Visits, B2B Meetings, Workshops: The Life Science Business Tour Agenda

Companies will participate in customized B2B meetings with international and local delegation members and tour prominent life science institutes in the Southern region of France.

They will visit IPMC Sophia Antipolice- Institute of Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology– a multi-theme research center and technology park where 19 international research teams take advantage of state-of-the-art equipment and high level of expertise in molecular & cellular biology, imaging, cytometry, electrophysiology, functional genomics and integrative biology.

The Life Science Business Tour participants will also tour the Marseille-Lumina Immunopôle, one of the only clusters dedicated to innovation in immunology and applied immunology as well as the research and development of the two weapons poised to revolutionize the treatment of cancer and inflammatory disease: immunotherapy antibodies and cell therapies.

Workshops will be hosted throughout the two days covering a wide range of topics about business development in France and a formal reception attended by elected officials from the Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azure region will be the social highlight of the trip.

Why South of France?

In February 2017 a memorandum of understanding was signed by the Mayor of San Diego Kevin  Faulconer and Bernard Deflesselles, Regional Vice President of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region. The MOU was signed in order to foster economic and academic, growth, development and cooperation between the two regions.

One of the key business sectors in both of these locations is biotechnology and life sciences.

For this reason, PACA is organizing the  Biotech Business Tour which will allow you to build partnerships with prospective partners and clients, and allow you to explore European expansion through the door of Southern France which is such a vital Biotech hub. The network is already set up for you to succeed, and PACA will accompany you by planning B2B meetings for you, organizing R&D institute visits and many networking opportunities.
