Meryam Popal, VP, serves as a Sr. Private Client Advisor with Bank of the West’s Wealth Management Group. She is responsible for providing wealth management strategies for the bank’s high net worth clients in the San Diego Market.
Over the past 10+ years in the financial services industry, Meryam has built client relationships by employing a team-based approach to monitor, oversee, and implement wealth strategies for high net worth clients. Her practice at Bank of
the West focuses on advising clients in the areas of: Banking, Credit and Custom Lending, Retirement and Investment Advisory Solutions*, and Estate and Wealth Transition Planning.
Meryam holds her Series 6, 7, 63 and 65 investment licenses. She earned her BA degree from University of California San Diego with an emphasis in Communication and a minor in History.
Margaux Buridant, VP, serves as a Sr. Wealth Strategist with Bank of the West’s Wealth Management Group in New York. She is responsible for evaluating the bank’s high net worth client’s needs by providing her unique expertise in international estate, tax investment, and financial planning.
Before joining Bank of the West, Margaux was the Managing director of Columbus Consulting Group. Prior to that, she held the position of “Notaire” in a private law practice in France.
Margaux earned a PhD in Wealth Management and a Master’s Degree in Private Law from Aix-en-Provence University.
As a Senior Wealth Strategist, Margaux acts as a planning resource for Wealth Management Advisors clients — with a focus on International business succession and estate planning. She works closely with clients to uncover their unique needs and delivers advanced and fully integrated planning solutions.
Aspet Hovanessian, VP, is a Senior International Business Development Officer in the International Banking Group. His focus is the International Market in southern California.
Aspet has a BBA from ICN business school located in France and a B.A. in Economics from California State University Northridge and MBA form University of Southern California with a focus on Strategy and Entrepreneurship. He started his banking career in 2008. He has held different roles throughout the 12 years that he has been in banking. He helps expatriates throughout their ventures in the US.
